Our Djanogly Northgate writing curriculum provides our pupils with a profound appreciation of the spoken and written word. Children embark on a writing journey in which they know who, why and what they writing for. They are driven to pull together the knowledge and skills they acquire within the wider curriculum to create writing that is engaging and informative for the reader.
Our writing ethos ensures that children know the difference between writing completion and purposeful practice, teacher’s benchmark brilliance, and purposeful writing is published in many ways throughout school.
