We work closely with Nottingham City Council to coordinate admissions to Djanogly Northgate Academy. If you want your child to come to this academy, then you should still apply via the City Council using their online form or by asking them for a paper form for you to complete.

You are very welcome to come and visit us to have a look round before you make your decision - it's important that you feel that you have found the right school for your child. If you feel a visit would be helpful, please contact the School Office on 0115 9156896 to arrange a visit.

Below is an outline of the admissions process:-

• Go on to the Nottingham City Council website -  Nottingham City Council Online Admissions where you will be able to complete an online form. Alternatively, you can call the School Admissions Team on 
  0115 841 5568 to request a paper copy of the application form.
   
• The application will then be uploaded to the Nottingham City Council Admissions Portal.
   
• When a school place becomes available, our Office Manager at Djanogly Northgate Academy will contact you to offer you a place, and will explain what to do next.
   
• Once you have accepted the place, you will then be asked to collect an Admissions Form from the school office.  This can either be completed on-site, or taken away and returned at a later date.
  
  Once you have returned your completed form, along with a birth certificate, you will then be invited to attend an admissions meeting with the Headteacher and/or a member of SLT and the Office Manager.
  
  During this meeting, we will discuss any extra support your child might need, and any other useful information that will help with their transition into school.  We will also decide on a start date for your child.  You will also be provided with a jumper/cardigan, water bottle and book bag for your child to use on their first day of school.  

Northgate has a nursery for children aged 3 and above. To apply for a nursery place, please collect a form from the School Office. You will then be contacted directly by the Nursery Teacher with information regarding a place.
